2021-22 Dig Missoula High School Scholarship Recipient

Elise Schneiter started playing Volleyball in the 7th grade for Kourtney Kohlman and her Aunt, Alika Skaggs. Prior to playing, Elise had only ever watched the sport and admired the players’ skills. Elise loves volleyball because of the constant jumping and movement on the court. One of her favorite parts of the game is the positive atmosphere and being able to celebrate both team and individual success.

In high school, Elise mostly played middle blocker, but also enjoyed the opportunity to hit outside. This season, Elise will be playing for 16U Florence, an independent club team.

Besides playing volleyball, Elise also plays basketball and softball. She enjoys spending her favorite season, summer, on the water and participating in sports without having school responsibilities. Some other fun facts, Elise’s favorite food is seafood, her favorite movie is Pitch Perfect, you can always catch her singing along to it. Her current favorite song is Where We Are by the Lumineers, but it changes day to day.

Elise’s goal for the upcoming club season is to have a consistent tough serve and to improve her ball control and placement when hitting.
